Why Streamlined Performance?
Streamlined Performance is dedicated to instructing military personnel, triathletes, master swimmers, and fitness swimmers to "Own Your Environment" -- if that environment happens to be the open water or the pool. We offer customized courses based on your individual or your organization's collective needs. Courses focusing on water competency, technique, efficiency training, and/or instructing (coaching) are available.
"As the founder of Streamlined Performance, it is my belief that anything worth doing is worth doing well. It is also important for us to use our time wisely, as we all have many roles within our lives. These roles may include being a wife, husband, parent, volunteer, employee, employer, athlete, warrior, or other. As such, most of us have little time to devote to training in the water.
"Spend each minute of your precious training time wisely so you get the most progress out of every practice. Whether you are interested in coming out of the water in a better position and with less fatigue at the beginning of a triathlon, or want to have better overall efficiency and competency in the water, Streamlined Performance is where to get the skills and knowledge necessary to achieve your potential." -- Jeff Utsch
The founder of Streamlined Performance, Jeff Utsch has been swimming competitively for over 32 years. His acheivements include: NCAA All-American, USA National Team Member, Pac-10 Champion, US Olympic Trial Qualifier (1984, 1988, 1992), World Trials Finalist, National Age Group Record Holder, Top 10 World Ranking, Masters National Champion, Open Water Marathon Swimmer, University of Arizona Men's Swim Team Captain, Ventana Canyon Swim Team Head Coach, Naval Seals and Coast Guard Consultant (1994-present), and Training Consultant to Professional Triathletes, Masters Swimmers, and Fitness Swimmers alike.
During his long career, Jeff has trained with some of the best known, and greatest coaches of this era. Jeff has learned a great deal from each of those coaches, as well as from decades of his own experience as a swimmer and coach. His philosophy is about getting the most out of every minute of your practice time. With precious little time to train, Jeff has been able to maintain "World Class" status within the Masters Swimming Community. He specializes in distance to middle-distance freestyle events, including open water swims.
